Surgery Complete!

The surgery was a success! Both of the tumors in the brain were completely removed. There were no signs of tendrils from the tumors. Dr. Liem also said that the tumors originated in the brain and did not come from another location. The tumors have been sent off to a lab for testing. This is when we will learn if the masses are cancerous or benign. We expect the results in a week or so.

Curt even cracked a joke to Jeffrey 45 minutes after getting out of surgery.

We are all very thankful and encouraged by your support. Before the surgery Patti was reading all of your comments posted on this blog to Curt and it really lifted both their spirits.

Please continue to pray for the lab results. These results are crucial in the next steps towards recovery.

  1. When we first read the news on HC's prayer update Jerry was walking around saying "thank you Jesus" over and over. It was a jubilant moment for us.
    Keep bringing the good news.

  5. We are so thankful you are over this first difficult hurdle, and we are so very thankful for such a successful surgery. We wish you could rest now and recuperate, but we know it's not that simple. It takes a tremendous amount of courage to face each day and walk forward with all the fears and uncertainties, and we know that God is with you and helping you to do that. We will keep you surrounded on all sides with our love and our prayers, and we will walk through this valley with you, and we will trust God with the future right along with you.
Much, much love to all the Franks.

  15. You guys get the award for Best Updated Blog. Thanks for the most current information the past few days. And being able to rejoice with answered prayer with you is a blessing.

Jason and the girls in Brazil are praying earnestly too.

I suppose now that the tumors are gone there is extra space in your brain ! I bet we could all come up with some good ideas on how to fill it.

Memorizing James chapter 1? Studying putting techniques? The merits of organic gardening? A long vacation with Patti creating wonderful memories? So many ways . . .

    Love you guys.
